By profession I am a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho (visit my personal/professional website). Several of my ancestors walked the trail in the mid-19th century as Mormon pioneers -- that's why this place is interesting to me. It is a beautiful place made even more awe-inspiring by the history that happened here. I hope this web page conveys a sense of that beauty.
